OREGON COUPLE CHARGED WITH MURDER IN INFANT’S STARVATION DEATH

As reported by NBC News and the Associated Press, an Oregon couple has been charged with murder after their infant son starved to death, police said.

Amanda Hancock, 22, and Stephen Williams Jr., 27, of Glendale, Oregon, were arrested Tuesday and charged with murder by abuse. Authorities found seven-week-old Data Toria Hancock unresponsive while responding to a distress call at a home on Jan. 22, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Attempts to treat the infant were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The State Medical Examiner determined that the boy died of starvation after conducting an autopsy, police said. Hancock and Williams were ordered held without bail when they appeared in court in Roseburg, Oregon, on Wednesday.

The Associated Press reported that the couple had been “involved in online pornography.”

This is such a sad story and I am sure that we have not heard everything yet.
